Disappointed in three handicap starts for Mags Mullins in Ireland. Returning from 11 months off the track and making his debut for a new stable here.
Placed on the AW since finishing runner-up over 2m7f at Worcester (good) last July on his most recent hurdles start. Best form has come on ground quicker than is forecast here.
Placed in a maiden hurdle at Stratford (good-to-soft)last October but well beaten since including over C&D last time out. Drops in grade for this contest.
Point-to-point winner and placed in a maiden hurdle in Ireland. Well beaten on both completed starts in novice hurdles and worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Good effort in finishing runner-up at Huntingdon (soft) over this trip in January. Appeared not to stay 3m subsequently and he is one for the shortlist on his return to this distance.
Off the mark when the impressive 10L winner of a soft ground handicap hurdle over C&D last time out. One to note despite a 9lb rise in the weights.
Victorious in a six runner 2m3f handicap hurdle at Towcester (heavy) last time out. Has to defy a 5lb higher mark here but remains open to improvement.
Good effort in finishing second of 17 over an extended 2m at Taunton (soft) in January. Well held in first time cheekpieces (absent here) at Plumpton (heavy) subsequently however.
Career best effort in finishing 11L third over this trip at Hereford (soft) in January. Well beaten upped to 3m the following month and he is making his handicap debut here.
Registered his first success when winning over 2m7f at Lingfield (heavy) Last month. Rasied 6lb for that success and interesting to see how he fares dropping in trip.
Point-to-point winner on good-to-yielding ground in May 2016 but generally struggled under rules for Sophie Leech. Worth a check in the market on debut for a new yard.
Unplaced on all five starts under rules most recently over 2m on soft ground when making his handicap debut here last month. Others make more appeal.
Improved form since joining this yard in the autumn and put in her best effort so far when second over an extended 2m4f at Plumpton (heavy) last time. Races off a 3lb higher mark in this contest.
Bumper winner on heavy ground at Ayr in March 2016 but well beaten since including over fences the last twice. Making his debut for a new yard.
Well beaten at big prices in four outings over hurdles so far. Most recent of those came over C&D in January and he is worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Placed in a point-to-point but struggled under rules and hopes seem to lie with the application of cheekpieces bringing about improvement.
Forecasts
Heluvagood (7/2), Grays Choice (9/2), Pray For A Rainbow (6/1), Lizzie Langton (8/1), Babytaggle (10/1), Quarry Wizard (12/1), Three Colours Red (12/1), Abbey Street (14/1), Murphy's Nails (14/1), Drewmain Legend (20/1), C'est Du Gateau (20/1), Big Picture (25/1), Snazz Man (33/1), Wenceslaus (40/1), Mauna Kea (40/1), Sustainable Star (50/1)
The step up in trip appeared to find ABBEY STREET out last time out but having finished runner-up over this trip prior to that he can register his first victory in a competitive looking opening contest. Pray For A Rainbow was a winner over further last time out and he can finish runner-up ahead of Heluvagood who was a winner last time out.
