Had gone close on several occasions before breaking through at Newcastle on just her second start for new trainer (formerly John Gosden). Should be competitive on handicap debut and hit the line well enough that suggested she should stay.
Hasn't built on promise of Wolverhampton debut and doesn't jump out as being well handicapped on his defeat behind Heather Lark at Newcastle.
Nathaniel colt who needs to improve on handicap debut on three starts so far. However breeding suggests the stark increase in trip will suit and worth a check in the betting.
Likeable profile with progress maintained on all six career starts. Strong staying win at Lingfield suggested this distance is within his scope and travelled well before just finding the drop in trip against him here last start.
Takes a sharp step up in trip but should be suited by the extra stamina test. Ran well at Southwell and on a feasible mark on handicap debut if translating the form onto this different surface.
Extra distance will help but well beaten in three starts to date and doesn't jump out as being on a lenient mark on first start in a handicap.
Every chance down 2lb on previous handicap form but disappointing favourite back down in maiden company at Kempton. Best run to date came at this track but needs to prove this extra distance will suit.
Forecasts
Global Style (9/4), Betjeman (3/1), Father Ailbe (5/1), Heather Lark (5/1), Deadly Reel (7/1), River Glades (14/1), Blame Me Forever (20/1)
All the runners are trying this distance for the first time and while Global Style needs to step up considerably he is certainly bred to be suited by this test. Heather Lark has started life with her new trainer in good form and should also enjoy the extra distance but preference is for FATHER AILBE who continues to improve with every run and remains on a good mark following two strong runs.
- Father Ailbe
- Heather Lark
- Global Style
