Made no impression on an easy winner last time but caught the eye under a considerate ride. Young rider looking for his first winner.
Did not look the most resolute last time, however he showed a good attitude to score here over 6f when front-running tactics would not have been Plan A. Soft ground to blame last time and he's a possible contender.
Beat Lady Sandy last time and revised mark ensures it should be tight again. Shorter trip and benefit of that run works in his favour though.
Failed to progress last term but possible testing ground was to blame for his last two starts. Handicap mark looks more realistic now and one to note in early trading.
Hooded for handicap debut. Stable without a winner in almost six years and she may need a bit further.
Career best life time and handicapper has taken note. Much more needed now and drop to 5f will not necessarily help.
Winner of a poor race by Newbury standards when with Richard Hannon. Tailed off on debut for new yard and she has plenty to prove.
Has shown some ability in a couple of starts here and she is not overburdened on handicap debut. Stable 3-9 this year.
Forecasts
It's All A Joke (11/8), Verhoyen (3/1), Gottardo (5/1), Lady Sandy (7/1), Early Call (12/1), Rapid Reaction (14/1), Suzy's Company (20/1), That's My Girl (33/1)
Suzy's Company looks interesting off her low weight on handicap debut having shown some talent on her second start. It's All A Joke and Lady Sandy were a head apart here last time over 6f. The latter is favoured at the weights but the former is likely to do better at this trip. Gottardo caught the eye on his return and could go close despite his rider's inexperience. Early Call is nicely weighted but concedes a fitness advantage and this may be an opportunity for VERHOYEN to add to his recent course success. Soft ground would not have helped last time but his juvenile form shows him to be one of the few in this to be a genuine 5f horse.
- Verhoyen
- Suzy's Company
- It's All A Joke
