Steps up 5f in trip from his last run making his handicap debut having shaped well in that run being the only one to make any headway from off the pace. Chance this sphere will see him in a better light and remains with potential.

Certainly showed improved form on his handicap debut rallying well after losing his place suggesting this trip will suit. Fell heavily when next seen and has had wind surgery since and now returns from a break off a workable mark.

Failed to make any progress on his first start in a handicap last time out looking as though he failed to see the 2m4f trip out. Still early days with him and he's in good hands but needs to show more before he can be supported.

Very lightly raced in the past few years he has in the past been capable of some decent form although he has proved to be an enigmatic character on occasions. His last two runs have been poor though and he's best left alone here.

Hasn't really shown much in three Bangor novice hurdles all over the extended 2m trip on testing ground. Now has a handicap mark and makes his first step into that sphere with cheekpieces going on for first time; market watch advised.

Back to winning ways over fences around a year ago but all of his form since has been rather sub-standard. Now in another change of headgear and back from a break others make more appeal.

There has been promise in some of his novice runs (always looks as though he needs a trip) but he hasn't really progressed in handicaps. Back from a break here and now off his lowest handicap mark he needs to settle better to be fully effective.

Stoutly bred sort who has won an Irish point-to-point and who looked to have more chance in handicaps but failed to improve when given a chance in this sphere. That was over 2m though and this trip may suit better; needs to improve.

One good effort came over this C&D in early 2017 rather out of the blue almost causing an upset off a mark of 88. Two runs since have left him with something to prove though especially the one over C&D last time.

Caused a surprise when winning at Wincanton two starts back off a 6lb lower mark. Failed to complete when falling next time but showed that he remains in good form last time but undone by his new handicap mark; looks vulnerable to less exposed sorts.

Scrumpy Boyt164
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Bannister| T: B Barr| OR:  86

Dropped rapidly down the weights for his previous yard and had started to look on a winnable mark. However, he looked to have his quirks last time out on his stable debut and could be one to be wary of even off this mark.

Veteran performer who is 0/19 over hurdles despite going close a few times in this sphere. He continues to slip down the weights and not out of the question that something like this could fall his way; ran with credit last time.

Verdict

A few that are of interest in this finale with CELMA DES BOIS taken to build on his promising handicap debut with his bumper form giving hope that he is better than this mark. Uncle Percy looks the type to offer more on the back of wind surgery from a good yard and could well prove better than this grade. Ballyhome also shaped nicely last time and can make his mark as he moves into handicaps with Bronzallure a similar type and any market moves for him should be noted coming from a shrewd yard. Breaking Ground has run some sound races recently in handicaps although he might just look a little vulnerable here to the unexposed runners.
  1. Celma Des Bois
  2. Ballyhome
  3. Bronzallure
