Taking a huge step up in trip here (may help on breeding, one half-brother won over 2m) and gelded since last being seen. Showed promise last year and if fit on reappearance here, could improve and take a hand.
Overcame a bit of greenness to score over 1m2f on reappearance at Chelmsford in January and this step up in trip looks sure to suit. Yard's horses going well and he wouldn't need to improve much to be a player here.
Made all to win at Chelmsford (1m2f) last November, the last time he was seen out and looks a real galloping type who will appreciate this extra distance. May be the one to beat if he's ready to go after his winter break.
Proven at the trip, having won over it at Lingfield in February and ran to a similar level over this C&D last time out. Meets some possible improvers here but guaranteed fitness and ability at this trip are both big plus points.
Showed a bit of ability in three starts last year and goes handicapping on a fair mark. Has had wind surgery since last seen but sticking point could be the trip, as breeding and run style to date suggests shorter could be ideal.
Showed some promise on two of his three starts to date, stayed on over shorter here on final start and this step up in trip may suit. Likely we've not seen the best of him yet and with yard going fine at present, any money should be noted.
Forecasts
Baghdad (6/4), Adams Park (3/1), Volevo Lui (5/1), Sotomayor (11/2), We Know (9/1), Quantatmental (16/1)
Hard to rule any of these out with any great conviction and the market is probably the best guide. BAGHDAD looked the sort to improve this year and if allowed his own way up front, may be hard to pass. Quantatmental may be another one that's going to leave his form behind at some point and it could be here. Volevo Lui improved to win on his latest start and is likely to continue to do so as the season progresses.
- Baghdad
- Quantatmental
- Volevo Lui
