Still looked green and capable of more when winning an AW French maiden at the end of last year. Gelded for his reappearance this year (needed run) he shaped well enough but this run should tell us more as he makes his Fibresand debut.

Ran far better than his debut win over 7f on Fibresand earlier in the year would suggest travelling well for most of the race with the rider trying to win with hands-and-heels tactics. Failed to confirm that form on Polytrack; remains with potential.

Very little to enthuse about in either of his performances nine months apart finishing last of three on his first run for this yard. Now makes his debut on Fibresand but has little to recommend him so far.

Tried at up to7f so far his pedigree would suggest that he needs a longer trip with his two runs so far looking very ordinary. Now switches to this surface for the first time and has been gelded; more needed to make an impression though.

Green and inexperienced on his two runs so far (both last year) he looks as though he's one for handicaps once he gains a mark. This trip also looks on the short side for him and he'll be of more interest over further; makes Fibresand debut.

Seven races in various company when trained in France only yielded a couple of places with a second in a 6f maiden being her best effort. Now makes her Fibresand/stable debut and has a pedigree that suggests she should be suited by this surface.

Forecasts

Lord Oberon (6/4), Jack Taylor (15/8), Royal (7/2), Whinmoor (14/1), Sentimental Gent (25/1), Admissible (125/1)

Verdict

Some of these look as though they will show more this year than they have done so far but may well need further to realise any improvement. LORD OBERON is already a winner here scoring in taking fashion over 7f on his debut and a return here should suit despite stepping back to 6f. Perhaps his most interesting rival is Royal who makes her debut here and being by Speightstown should enjoy this surface. Jack Taylor ought to have come on for his initial run this year and he’s also of interest on his Fibresand debut.
  1. Lord Oberon
  2. Royal
  3. Jack Taylor
