Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Rory Cleary| T: J M Barrett

16/1

Not much to shout about in two late season starts at Listowel and Naas over 1m4f well beaten on both occasions. Work to do on seasonal debut.

Form: 30-

(5)

Sandaryann¹⁵⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: D A McCormack⁽⁵⁾| T: D K Weld

12/1

Well beaten and no impression in two sporadic appearances last season. Gelded and looks stable second string.

Form: 78-

(3)

Stoic Soul¹⁵⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Shane Foley| T: K J Condon

7/2

Shaped well when progressing through the field to finish second of 12 beaten 8L on sole start without troubling the winner when last seen in a Navan maiden. Step up in trip a positive.

Form: 2-

(1)

Tahan²¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: O J Orr⁽³⁾| T: S Lavery

50/1

Well beaten in three dismal displays last term including finishing last of 13 and last of 10 on his last two starts. Hard to construct much of a case for him.

Form: 400-

(8)

Tullyallen¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: N G McCullagh| T: J M Oxx| OR: 75

3/1

Improved performance on final start for the Richard Hannon yard and on stable debut for current connections when third of 11 behind the well thought of Port Lions at Dundalk on the AW earlier in the month. Will look to improve.

Form: 453-3

(6)

Zamroudpour^b1¹²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Declan McDonogh| T: D K Weld

11/10

Third of 14 beaten 3½L behind Pillar Mountain on sole start at Dundalk on the AW in December. Should make his presence felt in first time blinkers.

Form: 3-

(4)

Fiannaiocht⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: K J Manning| T: J S Bolger

12/1

Has been left toiling in two starts in her career the latest of which came earlier this month in a Naas maiden over 1m. Looks vulnerable in this company.

Form: 6-9

(2)

Lovely Morning¹⁸³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Colin Keane| T: Mrs J Harrington

33/1

Well beaten and little encouragement in three starts last season on turf and a spin on the AW. Hard to see her making any significant impact.

Form: 990-

Forecasts

Zamroudpour (11/10), Tullyallen (3/1), Stoic Soul (7/2), Sandaryann (12/1), Fiannaiocht (12/1), For Pleasure (16/1), Lovely Morning (33/1), Tahan (50/1)

The Dermot Weld outsider Sandaryann has hit the front in his two starts to date and will possibly attempt to set the race up for his stablemate ZAMROUDPOUR who showed plenty of promise at Dundalk on debut in December with his wily trainer finding a suitable opening to get off the mark here. Stoic Soul who ran well on debut in October and John Oxxs' experienced Tullyallen can hit the frame.
