Vale of York mare is a half-sister to three winners, though she didn't exhibit great promise in her debut at Wetherby in November and has improvement to find after wind operation since.
Presenting mare, well held in pair of Musselburgh bumpers so far, leaving her with plenty to work on coming into this.

Horse silk
6/4
Runner-up in first two starts in this sphere, she failed to settle last time out in a Listed bumper at Market Rasen and forfeited her chance accordingly. This looks more straightforward if she consents to race with the choke in.

28/1
Up just slightly in trip but may want plenty further in time to showcase her best stuff, judging on breeding and efforts in runs at Newcastle (AW) and Catterick so far.
5
Horse silk
80/1
Sent off 50/1 in pair of bumpers at Kelso, one on good / one on heavy, unable to pose any sort of threat in either.
6
Horse silk
50/1
Ran well on good ground the last twice most recently when finishing third at Perth in July. Returns from a break today but needs to improve if she's to take this contest.

Daughter of Scorpion, finished third (beaten 30L) on debut at Down Royal on Boxing Day, should have learned from that outing and entitled to improve - will have to.
An €8,000 three-year-old, Stowaway mare whose dam was an unraced sister to Champion Hurdle winner Rooster Booster. Market can guide ahead of debut run.
9
Horse silk
100/1
Five-year-old daughter of Oscar made her racecourse debut at Newcastle recently and couldn't beat any of 11 rivals home. Best watched on that evidence.

Multiplex filly makes decent appeal on paper and hasn't been handed the toughest task on debut, any money would be worth noting.

Sulamani filly is related to multiple winners and could be capable of getting into the thick of things on this racecourse bow, one to pay attention to in the market.

Forecasts

Derriana Spirit (6/4), Lily's Gem (5/2), Ruby Tiger (4/1), Rosey (15/2), Blue Baton (14/1), Donnas Dream (28/1), Lady Samback (50/1), Sailing Away (66/1), Belle Of York (66/1), Fig's Pride (80/1), Sueno Toms (100/1)

Verdict

DERRIANA SPIRIT exhibited enough promise in her first two runs to get the nod here. She was much to free when tried in a Listed bumper last time and, if she settled, should find this drop in class gives her an excellent chance to open the account. The others that have run don't set the pulse racing, with Lady Samback maybe the best of them, so newcomers Ruby Tiger and Rosey are of more interest in the betting.
  1. Derriana Spirit

  3. Rosey
