Slowly away on AW debut when finishing fourth of nine earlier in the month. Looks a mare who may need more time.

Slowly away when last seen here in early February finishing 4¾L behind Jon Ess over 7f. Needs to break better but not one to totally discount.

Failed to build on a promising third of 13 beaten ¾L on his first run of the year over C&D when finishing a well beaten ninth of 14 here last month. Looks opposable in first-time cheekpieces.

Well beaten and no impression in two career starts here over 1m and 6f. Hard to construct much of a case for him in this company.

Modest handicapper for former yard and has failed to beat an opponent home in his last three starts including on stable debut earlier this month. Gelded and has first-time tongue-tie fitted but unlikely to trouble the judge.

Not disgraced in three starts in France before two runs on the AW following an 18-month lay-off when never nearer and well beaten on both occasions. Possibly one that needs more time.

Winner over C&D in October off a 7lb higher mark in a 7k claimer. Beaten since including over C&D once again suffering a 14L defeat when last seen here in January.

Looked to be coming back in to form when chasing Rivellino home here earlier in the month over 6f. C&D winner in October off a 5lb higher mark and another bold show looks likely.

Has disappointed connections with a series of drab displays in 2017 on turf and AW. Not seen since finishing 10 of 13 here in November and unlikely to play a part in the finish.

Society Rangerp6
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-3| J: Colin Keane| T: S M Duffy| OR:  54| BF
12/1
Beaten favourite last time out failing to plunder a Wolverhampton handicap earlier in the month over 1m½f. Has generally disappointed here and market likely to reveal expectations.

Forecasts

Seanie (6/4), Sheisdiesel (5/2), Midnitemudcrabs (9/2), Society Ranger (12/1), Iron Ryan (14/1), Wadood (16/1), Reddot Express (25/1), Fashionable Man (33/1), Goodbye Oonagh (50/1), Vaquero (100/1)

Verdict

Midnitemudcrabs will possibly try and nab the early lead from stall two where the Arcano mare needs to be if things are to fall right. She may though be a little rusty on return to the track which could hand advantage to Mick Halfords Reddot Express or the improving and in form SEANIE who's trainer David Marnane looks to have found the gelding an ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways here. Sheisdiesel and Wadood can compete with Midnitemudcrabs for the minors.
  1. Seanie
  2. Midnitemudcrabs
  3. Wadood
