Has failed to threaten in any of his three previous starts when sent off at big prices. Hard to take any positives and others readily preferred.
€125,000 purchase and looked good value when disposing of the useful Trainwreck on last year's bumper debut. Described as a big and weak individual that day who would make a good hurdler, so no surprise to see that patience go rewarded here.
Appeared not to stay this far on his penultimate start and was due to race over shorter last Sunday. However, this may be not so competitive and the track is less testing than Navan.
Sixth of eight on rules debut behind The Conditional last month on maiden hurdle debut at Punchestown before another heavy defeat at Thurles last month. . Very little to be positive about.
Winner of a bumper on soft ground at Tramore in August and had good form in defeat against the likes of Debuchet and Brahma Bull. Has been busy on the AW this winter and now makes his hurdling debut.
Went close here on his hurdling debut despite errors at the last two. Failed to build on that last time and this looks a better race.
Has been placed in point-to-points and a fast ground bumper. Had a couple of these behind when well adrift of the 112-rated Lareena last time and that form does not appear good enough.
Showed little in two point-to-points and again on rules debut two months ago. Others are more persuasive in a race where the major powerhouses are represented.
Finished down the field in a bumper in March and registered a similar result on hurdling debut here before pulling-up in a Tramore maiden. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Antey (4/9), Last Minute Man (9/4), Dasmyhoss (10/1), Robin On The Hill (20/1), Golan Cloud (28/1), Canon Jack (40/1), Ask And Answer (50/1), Taras Smile (50/1), Shadows Return (66/1)
Dasmyhoss had some good bumper form last season and he is an interesting debutant who has been busy at Dundalk during the winter. He is one to note in the coming months with connections presumably waiting for faster ground. Antey has shown enough to suggest he has a run of the mill event in him, but today he faces LAST MINUTE MAN who created a big impression when landing his bumper last year. The runner-up, Trainwreck, has proved himself to be an above-average horse this season and it is hoped Gordon Elliott's charge will do likewise.
- Last Minute Man
- Antey
- Dasmyhoss
