Solid and consistent on the Fibresand at Southwell but well beaten on sole start here back in 2012 when finishing 17L behind the winner. Market likely to reveal expectations.
Winner of three of his four starts here winning last month over 1m6f beating 12 rivals and Canford Thompson ½L. Sure to go well again.
Strong over C&D when at his very best and the pick of his form has come in Class 6 handicaps but has been well beaten on his last two starts here.
Is a course winner but the losing run continues to grow with his last win coming back in 2014. Hint of promise last time out when 2¾L behind Captain George last month. Looks opposable.
Relatively unexposed and holds sound place claims on the pick of his efforts but was never travelling on return to the track following a break last month when finishing 11th of 12 over the extended 1m1f. Looks vulnerable in this company.
Modest performer on the Flat and over hurdles for Diane Sayer and requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here on return from a wind-op on stable debut.
Successful on the Flat in Germany on decent ground but has laboured badly in two runs over hurdles for this yard before finishing fourth of 10 beaten 3L on AW debut at Lingfield earlier this month. Others preferred.
Without a win in 10 starts when in the care of Harry Dunlop and well beaten on only visit here in December. Looks up against it on stable debut.
Distance winner who was beaten favourite last time out in a Chelmsford 1m5½f handicap in February. Has work to do based on current form.
In-and-out performer who has recorded two decent efforts among his last three runs, going close at Lingfield in December from 1lb lower and when beaten 1¾L here from this mark last time.
Modest performer who is now a 14-race maiden under both codes. Even his best form would probably leave him short of what is required.
Winner of a Redcar 1m6f handicap in November last year and not a lot to shout about since in both codes in four starts. Looks up against it here.
Course winner that has won over the trip finished 10th of 12 well beaten on last visit to the track last month over the extended 2m. Looks a tall order on recent form.
Forecasts
Captain George (4/1), Katie Gale (5/1), Volturnus (7/1), Leoro (8/1), Dance Rock (8/1), Amadeus Rox (10/1), Captain Swift (12/1), Caracas (12/1), Rock'n Gold (12/1), Gold Chain (12/1), Rajapur (14/1), Mister Fizz (14/1), Medieval Bishop (50/1)
Volturnus and Katie Gale could take the field along in the early stages here with Leoro, Rajapur and Amadeus Rox chasing the initial leaders. CAPTAIN GEORGE should be also keeping tabs on the pace as he did when he won here last month over 1m6f beating 12 rivals taking up the running just over 1f out. Much of the same tactics can be expected here. Dance Rock and Katie Gale can battle for the minors.
- Captain George
- Dance Rock
- Katie Gale
