Pulled up last two outings either side of wind surgery and has been out of sorts. Won here over 3m in Uttoxeter and return to happy hunting ground may spark a revival.
Two career wins have come on top of the ground but did go well in heavy ground at Ayr in January before disappointing when a distant third there last month. Fairly handicapped on best form and should give supporters a run for thier money.
Won in heavy ground over hurdles at Newton Abbot in October but struggled and pulled up on latest start in similar conditions. Switches back to chasing but hard to enthuse over unless market says otherwise.
Ex-French mare whose sole victory came at Pau in 2015. Generally disappointing in four starts since moving to Britian although ran OK when third at Hereford in Janury. Tries longer trip now which may help but looks risky proposition.
Veteran chaser who last won in January 2016. Now rated 29lb lower and has run well enough last two starts so a good show certainly not ruled out.
Scored at Market Rasen in December and looked on his way to another success until falling when in the lead 3 out on return visit to that track last week. Major chance off same mark if confidence isn't dented
Goes best on a heavy surface and drops back in trip after struggling over three miles of late. Star young jockey on board claims 3lb and blinkers used last time now dispensed with.
Forecasts
Iskabeg Lane (5/4), Alf 'n' Dor (11/2), Present Flight (6/1), Wings Of Smoke (7/1), Maguire's Glen (8/1), Jaune Et Bleue (10/1), Cobajayisland (12/1)
ALF 'N' DOR didn't appear to appreciate the first-time blinkers when a distant third last time so that headgear is now left off. He drops back to his optimum trip so has a sporting chance. Iskabeg Lane was an unlucky loser at Market Rasen last week having moved away from the rest when falling while leading three from home. He rates a big danger if over that tumble. Old man Wings of Smoke is well in on his form of a few seasons ago, and while not as good now is in fine fettle and shouldn't be too far away. Present Flight is another who has claims in an open affair.
- Alf 'n' Dor
- Iskabeg Lane
- Wings Of Smoke
