Fortunate to win a race in the Stewards room last time out after finishing second in a tight call. Often travels strongly and acts on this surface but faces a tough task at the weights in this and will do well to win.
Has shown some of his best form around here winning twice over 7f in handicaps recently. Didn't look as fluent and keen last time out as he had in those runs and has something to find at the weights to take a hand here.
The first-time blinkers appeared to work the oracle when he won earlier in the year at Wolverhampton although the effects may be wearing off a little now. His last two runs here have been modest and more needed to play a part in this.
Makes his Fibresand debut having offered little in two starts for this yard especially on his handicap debut last time. This is an easier task but needs to prove himself in a first-time headgear combination and on this surface.
Unreliable character who has won here but disappointed when returned here on his last start over 7f refusing to settle. Capable at this sort of level but one to be cautious with given his overall attitude.
Didn't run too badly when last seen here in a handicap over a mile with that run coming between his two most recent wins (both gained on Polytrack; 7f). Ran far too free last time out and will need to settle better to play a part in this.
Not seen on Fibresand for a while he posted his best effort in ages when winning a 1m2f seller at Lingfield in December. Well held in a handicap at the same track last time he may find a return to this level more conducive to winning.
Forecasts
Tellovoi (9/4), Best Tamayuz (11/4), Black Dave (6/1), Tagur (7/1), Cockney Boy (8/1), Mr Andros (8/1), Raakid (20/1)
Extreme care should be taken in an event where all the protagonists wear headgear and BLACK DAVE who hasn’t many chances on Fibresand may be the safest option back out of handicap company. There’s no doubt that Tellovoi has the form to win this but he’s a hard horse to trust at short prices and the course specialist Best Tamayuz is a better option at the prices. Tagur should run a sound race but faces a stiff task at the weights while Cockney Boy may be able to find a little more with the visor replacing the blinkers that provided the catalyst for his last win.
