A winner over 2m in Ireland for John Joseph Murphy, she ran respectably over C&D on her first couple of starts for this trainer. Not suited by the drop in trip /small field latest, and better judged here.

Has gone 21 runs with registering a win now, dating back to 2016, up in trip this evening but rather hindered his chance with tardy break from the stall at Wolverhampton last time.

Beaten around 2½L over C&D in early January when third, but races off 5lb higher today following a seamless Wolverhampton success on his penultimate start (2m). Poor effort at Dunstall Park subsequently but entitled to be in the mix.

Winless sequence dates back to 2014, well held in C&D jumpers bumper 10 days ago and need to up game considerably back in a handicap.

Just 4lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Kempton in October on previous AW start. Has left Ian Williams for this handler since Taunton run in November. Worth a market check on return.

Lightly-raced sort, was backed for 1m2f contest here in November but found one too strong, since changed yard and now tackles this much longer trip for the first time with useful 5lb claimer booked.

Well handicapped on his old form on turf (winner off a mark of 88 in April 2015), but remains an 11 race AW maiden. However, showed more over C&D latest when finishing 3½L third to Archibelle.

Lightly-raced overall, and not fully exposed over staying trips. Looks held on his C&D effort in early January, but improved latest, and has handily dropped a further 1lb in the weights. Needs more.

Set a variety of differing tasks since October (turf, hurdles and AW), but not really proved capable of competing. Not won since June 2016, and shouldn't beat the likes of Buthelezi, Pantomine and Hugoigo who all proved stronger over C&D latest.

Showing gradual signs of improvement for this trainer in low grade Flat handicaps. Should find a small race eventually, but that's highly unlikely to be today against these better handicapped rivals.

A 13-race maiden, hard to see the breakthrough coming today, well held sole try over this trip at Wolverhampton last month.

Verdict

SOMETHING BREWING landed a bumper over C&D recently and looks a solid prospect to follow that up now back in a handicap. His stablemate Hediddodinthe is interesting on first run for the yard and tackling this sort of trip for the first time, any market support behind his bid would be notable. Likewise, St Andrews is one to look out for debut for new connections having won over this trip at Kempton in October on his more recent Flat outing.
