Accomplished performer on Tapeta who has had just a couple of starts on Polytrack but still deserves another chance on this surface. Needs to build on a fair stable debut at Wolverhampton last time, however.

Has placed over this trip in the past but generally much better over further and even then hasn't been in good enough form to be of interest over his last few starts.

Well-beaten behind Arlecchino's Leap over C&D last time and is actually 2lb higher in the weights now. Top AW jockey takes the ride in first-time cheek pieces but tough to see him reversing form.

3lb higher than when winning over C&D last time out. Goes fairly well here and holds claims from the insider draw, with this jockey having taken the ride for the first time last time.

C&D winner and not the worst overall strike-rate, but losing streak is beginning to build up and was only eighth when tried over this trip on Polytrack two starts back (3lb lower now).

Only career win came in a weaker race than this and despite a good effort here two starts back his subsequent performance at Southwell suggests that may have been something of a fluke (was 40/1).

It's been a while since his last win but that did come over C&D and he's shown some fair form since, including when better than the form figure suggests at Lingfield last time out; drops back in trip here.

Completed a hat-trick at Wolverhampton last time when winning in impressive style and carries a 6lb penalty. Seems to be improving quickly and may only need to show a small amount of improvement to make it four wins in a row.

Forecasts

Naralsaif (7/4), Arlecchino's Leap (4/1), Palawan (6/1), Roman De Brut (15/2), Squire (8/1), Indigo Princess (10/1), Chetan (12/1), Spirit Of Sarwan (16/1)

Verdict

This can go to the C&D winner ARLECCHINO'S LEAP. 3lb higher than when winning here last time this apprentice took the ride for the first time on that occasion and with several others here having questions to answer in terms of recent form could complete a course double here. One with no such form questions is Naralsaif, who should push the selection close under a penalty, while Squire didn't run as badly as the form figure suggests last time out.
  1. Arlecchino's Leap
  2. Naralsaif
  3. Squire
