Returning from a break when finishing third over this trip at Kempton last time out. Races off the same mark today and is one to note in this contest.
In good form in recent starts winning two of his last four outings including over 6f at Wolverhampton earlier this week. Leading contender despite shouldering a 6lb penalty.
Held since winning over this trip at Wolverhampton in January. Remains on a mark 5lb higher than for that success and probably best watched at present.
Dual C&D winner including when seeing off Bernie's Boy here last weekend. Races off a 3lb higher mark today and one for the shortlist once more.
Followed up a Newcastle victory by finishing third at Wolverhampton last time out. Both of those efforts came over 5f but he has won over this trip in the past.
Successful twice in 2017 including on soft ground at Newmarket in July. Failed to beat a rival home in two starts since returning from a break however.
Placed over this trip at Kempton in July but held thereafter and unraced since finishing fifth over this trip at Lingfield in October.
Seven race maiden and held over 5f on his return from a break and his debut for this yard at Newcastle last time.
Sole success in ten starts came at Redcar (6f, good-to-firm) as a two-year-old. Good effort in finishing third in first time cheekpieces (retained) over C&D last time out and an interesting runner today.
Forecasts
Bernie's Boy (11/4), Big Lachie (4/1), Glory of Paris (5/1), Desert Fox (5/1), Lanjano (13/2), Father Mckenzie (12/1), Tavener (14/1), Curious Fox (16/1), Gloriux (16/1)
Recent winner BERNIE'S BOY can follow up his Wolverhampton victory by defying a penalty and taking this competitive looking sprint handicap. The selection is clearly in good heart at present and can get the better of Big Lachie who while effective over this trip has produced his best recent efforts over shorter. Lanjano receives weight from all of her rivals today and can claim third on this occasion.
- Bernie's Boy
- Big Lachie
- Lanjano
