130-rated chaser representing a yard that have placed a few to advantage in AW bumpers over the past week. This is not a strong event and it would be unwise to dismiss him lightly.
Former Godolphin horse who has been tried over a variety of distances without success. Hard to see him playing anything other than a supporting role.
Poor hurdler who has missed the beak when well beaten on his last two starts at Southwell. Longer trip will give him more time to recover, but it would still be a surprise if he proved good enough judged on what he has shown.
Bought for 75,000 gns as a potential broodmare at Newmarket in December. That is based on her pedigree rather than her two efforts on the racecourse, but this represents a much easier opportunity to enhance her paddock value.
Dirt pedigree suggests he'll very much find himself at home on the surface, but this trip looks plenty far enough on breeding and is best watched on debut unless the market says otherwise.
Four runs in bumpers/hurdles have revealed little in the way of talent, but is related to numerous Flat winners (mainly sprinters-milers) and that at least offers some hope. Worth a quick glance in the market.
$385,000 yearling by Street Cry out of a champion Peruvian filly. Half-brother to a middle-distance dirt winner and early promise means he is not without hope in this company.
€10,000 Famous Name colt and 11th foal of a winning sprinter. Related to eight winners including smart middle-distance performer Starstruck. From a yard that do well with their maidens here and of obvious interest in a race as weak as this.
Has finished last on both starts to date but given the yard's problems last year he may be better than the form indicates. Dam stayed 1m6f so this looks a more appropriate trip.
Disappointing on debut when only seventh despite being sent off favourite but may have needed that and he showed signs of greenness. Has been gelded and the addition of cheekpieces may help. Yard 4-8 with three-year-olds at this venue.

This looks a difficult race to call with little reliable evidence from the form book to work with. Amuletum looks the pick of those to have raced, but the Kevin Ryan pair of Finisher and Prediction are open to improvement. Callomania and Morning Skye are interesting newcomers, whilst Archive is a decent chaser who is not highly tried on his Flat debut. SPORTSWRITER was sent of as favourite on his first run but looked too green to do himself justice. He will know more this time and has clearly shown something at home. His stable do well on their raids here and that augurs well for his chances.
