Likes it here (twice a winner at the track) and has won after a short break before, so has plus points. Looked hard work last time out but heavy ground there possibly not ideal, so drying ground here another bonus. Every chance of bouncing back.
On a nice mark if he can translate his good recent hurdles form back over fences, having come good under similar conditions at Taunton recently. However, chase starts to date have been littered with errors, so that's not a given. Risky.
Veteran has some dreadful looking form figures to his name, but effort an Bangor in December wasn't a disaster (in the context of this race), leading until late and then getting tired. Will try and burn these off and has half a chance of doing so.
Has shown little so far, and failed to finish on last four starts. First start for Dan Skelton now, gets a tongue-strap for first time and is on a basement mark. As such, improvement likely and could be a player if wind op has positive effect.

Just about as weak a contest as you'll find. Tactical Manoeuvre would probably be happier if this was a hurdles contest as his chase efforts to date have left plenty to be desired. Spiritofchartwell should run his race on a track he's at home on, and Free World might get his own way up front, but if CITADEL has any ability at all then he'll take plenty of beating on his first run for Dan Skelton. He's got a 29% strike rate with other's castoffs first time up and can improve that record again here.
