No stranger to running around here and has seven course wins to his name and was in rude health early last year completing a four-timer with wins coming over hurdles and fences. Pulled-up in both his chase starts back from a break and now back over hurdles off a tough mark.

Makes his handicap debut here off the back of his most encouraging effort yet at Warwick over 2m5f in a novices' hurdle (slow run race). Got outpaced in that and should be suited by this trip off what looks to be a fair enough mark; worth watching in the market.

Slips back below his last winning mark (attained over fences) and finally bounced back to form last time out over hurdles having faced tough tasks off higher marks with the yard quiet. Stays very well and the Catterick race last time out is working out well and he could continue to bounce back.

Blinkers go on for the first time having slipped some 6lb below the mark she won a Perth handicap hurdle off in April 2016. Has struggled for form of late and finished well beaten at Market Rasen last time out and others much preferred in this.

A winner in France over hurdles on his last start there before joining his current yard he finally showed something last time out having attracted support. Dropped another 2lb from that run he probably needs to show more to be of interest although this trip may suit.

Defends an unbeaten 2/2 C&D record having won here last March off a mark of 98 (10lb higher than his previous win here). Looked as though he could take a step forward for his reappearance at Warwick although this mark does give him a fairly stiff task.

Losing run is starting to stack up and her recent two wins have been below par even with the headgear back on last time out. Hard to build much of case on what she's shown recently and best watched for now.

Forecasts

Corlay (9/4), Sartene's Son (7/2), Boher Lad (4/1), Riddlestown (6/1), Tomkevi (7/1), Princess Tara (7/1), Young Lou (33/1)

Verdict

The handicap debutante Satene’s Son is one of the more obvious candidates having run well last time out and looking to be ready for this step up to this trip and his mark looks a fair one. TOMKEVI has been capable off higher marks in the past and the race that he came third in last time at Catterick has been working out well and he’s given the nod to give Rebecca Menzies a welcome winner. Corlay showed a little more last time out and is worth watching in the market again with Boher Lad another to take the eye defending his 2/2 record over C&D although his mark looks a tough one.
  1. Tomkevi
  2. Sartene's Son
  3. Boher Lad
