Profilic winner with 20 successes to his name, six of them over this C&D, and remains a force at this level having led for a long way over 5f at Chelmsford last time. Unlikely to be far away.
Not the force she once was but had enough about her to win a couple of selling races last summer. Ended last year out of sorts though and struggled on her reappearance over 6f here last month.
A 12-time winner, though only once on this track, and has regressed markedly since gaining the last of his victories 14 months ago. Couldn't have a case made out for him on what he served up at Wolverhampton last time.
Still winless from 11 attempts but should have won over C&D in January when idling having hit the front. Again looked a tricky customer when fancied at Newcastle last time but clearly well-treated and Adam Kirby may get the best out of him.
Veteran who is a winner of 9 races from 89 career starts but the majority of them have come over further. Has slipped to a workable mark on the evidence of a recent third over 6f here but drop in trip is the issue.
Only two victories from 25 starts have come on Newcastle's Tapeta surface. most recently off a 2lb higher mark in the summer. Hasn't kicked on for a new yard since then, running abysmally when tried over 7f last time.
Veteran campaigner with five C&D wins, though increasingly hard to score with these days (currently on a 22-race losing run). Likely to come up short once again from a less than ideal draw, despite a decent effort on his penultimate start.
Is now 0-11 since joining this yard (1-21 overall) but has run some promising races, including going close from a much higher mark over C&D. Looked in need of the run after a break last time but present mark is workable.
Sole victory came over this C&D 14 months ago from a higher mark but she has lacked consistency since and has struggled to make an impact of late. Tried in a visor last time to no avail, blinkers tried now.
Turf winner who, despite showing up well over C&D on occasions, has moved to 0-14 on the AW after looking a touch one-paced when fancied at Wolverhampton last time. Mark looks fair but needs to pull out a bit extra.
Forecasts
Blastofmagic (7/4), Roy's Legacy (9/2), Malaysian Boleh (5/1), Camino (6/1), Billy's Boots (12/1), Popsilca (12/1), Dreams Of Glory (16/1), Pharoh Jake (16/1), Nag's Wag (20/1), Chip Or Pellet (33/1)
BLASTOFMAGIC has looked a bit of a tricky customer in recent starts but, ability-wise, he has shown more than enough to suggest he's capable of winning off his present mark if he can be delivered at the right time. Having been freshened up by a break and with Adam Kirby taking over in the plate, this modest handicap looks as good an opportunity as he will get. The biggest threat may come from the veteran Roy's Legacy who remains in good order with Malaysian Boleh and Camino also respected.
- Blastofmagic
- Roy's Legacy
- Malaysian Boleh
