Generally most effective on the Fibresand at Southwell over shorter, though caught the eye in defeat over 7f at Wolverhampton last time. Worth a try over this longer trip on that evidence, respected.
Flickers of promise in two runs for Jeremy Gask before an underwhelming debut for this yard over 6f on fibresand. For all that, he goes handicapping over a longer trip off a lowly mark and clearly has to be of interest.
Five turf wins, though not since 2016, and is now 0-30 on the AW after a mid-division effort at Chelmsford last time out. Wasn't disgraced that day but others more persuasive here.
Three times a winner at Newbury of all places (all over further) but less effective elsewhere and is now 0-15 on the AW after finishing a close-up fifth over 1m2f here latest. Drop in trip not of obvious benefit.
Was winning for only the second time in 40 starts when getting up late to score over 1m at Chelmsford last time out. Has to be considered vulnerable off a 3lb higher mark given his modest win ratio.
Has been running well since belatedly opening his account over 7f here last month, finishing third in successive 7f events at Wolverhampton and Cheltenham. Current mark is fair but he's 0-7 in previous attempts at this trip.
Experienced campaigner who gained the last of his four career wins at Kempton almost two years ago. Without a win on this course from 24 previous attempts and hard to fancy on his first run since June.
A 13-race maiden but has gone close at Wolverhampton in the past from a much higher mark. Unraced since June, she reappears for a shrewd new yard which is going well, so any market move would be of interest.
Looks a very modest sort on what he's served up in 10 starts to date and was no match for Rising Sunshine when ninth of 12 over 7f here latest. Hopes pinned on the step up in trip.
Forecasts
Rising Sunshine (3/1), Big Amigo (9/2), Loving Your Work (9/2), Thatsthewaytodoit (5/1), Dukes Meadow (6/1), Bloodsweatandtears (8/1), Cold Fire (10/1), General Gerrard (16/1), Chandrayaan (50/1)
Probably the more interesting of the two divisions in which Dukes Meadow and Rising Sunshine set the standard from a recent form angle, though it would be no surprise to see Big Amigo find improvement over this longer trip after an eye-catching effort last time. For all that, Hughie Morrison's lightly-raced handicap debutant COLD FIRE is bred to come into his own this extra distance and it would be no surprise if he was up to the task of defying a mark of just 55 after recently blowing the cobwebs away with a runout at Southwell. Ivan Furtado's new recruit Thatsthewaytodoit would also be of interest if the money arrives.
