No stranger to running here although has yet to win at the track but he did come very close to putting that right last time out with a very good second to an improver (made running). A drop back to his last winning mark had seen him pick up a Haydock handicap previously; may be vulnerable off higher marks.

A winning hurdler at the start of last year off a 12lb lower mark he comes here off the back of a chasing effort (unseated rider) when let down by his jumping for a former yard. Now back over hurdles for a new yard he should handle the ground although he's not looked the most consistent in the past.

Been seen here on quite a few occasions over hurdles and now switches back to that sphere after three chase starts here. Had looked as though he would do better over fences than he has; handicapper has given him a chance now off his lowest hurdles mark yet.

Back from a 10 month break he landed quite a gamble when successful in a Newcastle handicap over 2m in testing conditions (stable/handicap debut). He showed much improved form there but the handicapper has only raised him 6lb for that effort; won with a bit in hand.

Forecasts

One For Harry (13/8), Bulls Head (7/4), Strong Economy (9/2), Notwhatiam (11/2)

Verdict

BULLS HEAD very much caught the eye last time out when winning at Newcastle and landing a gamble in the process and it although that was only a weak affair it was quite a surprise to see him only raised 6lb for that effort and conditions should prove no problem. At the other end of the handicap One For Harry a frequent visitor here has been in good form of late but might just find this mark of 142 beyond him now. Strong Economy reverts to hurdles after not quite firing over fences and it will be interesting to see how Irish challenger Notwhatiam making his debut for a yard well known for their raids on the Flat moves in the market with a tongue-tie on for the first time.
