Won three of his first four hurdles contests in France, but was well held behind a stable companion in a Grade 1 contest last time. Trainer's runners are always to be respected on their raids to England. Tongue tied for the first time.

Has not been foot perfect on either of his two starts, but has won both easily, most recently over C&D. High up in the betting for the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and needs to win this to enhance his claims for that contest.

AW Flat winner who raced too keenly and was down the field when favourite on his debut at Wetherby for Thomas Cooper. Starts out for a new stable and needs to improve, but it is early days for him.

Not beaten far when runner-up on both his starts over hurdles. Will be winning before too long, but this looks a little too tough at this stage of his career.

Dual winner who was rated 94 on the Flat when trained by David Lanigan. Makes his hurdling/stable debut in a first-time tongue tie and is one to note in the betting market.

Won a couple of hurdle races in France and has been successful in one of her three starts for her current handler. Beaten at odds-on when last seen at Aintree in December and may take a step forward after her break.

Was in the process of running a mighty race on her hurdling debut when brought down at the last at Ascot and deservedly got off the mark when making all at Plumpton. Clearly talented at this game and might take some pegging back.

Forecasts

Redicean (10/11), Malaya (4/1), Beau Gosse (4/1), Grand Sancy (10/1), Harmonise (20/1), Bid Adieu (33/1), Kasperenko (40/1)

Verdict

Harmonise has impressed in both starts over timber and may take some pegging back at this track, but such was the ease with which REDICEAN shot clear over C&D last time that he is surely the most likely winner. Malaya looks the better of her top stable's two runners, but perhaps the main danger may come from French raider Beau Gosse, for whom any market support would be interesting, a remark which also applies to hurdling newcomer Kasperenko.
  1. Redicean
  2. Beau Gosse
  3. Harmonise
