Looks to have been handed a stiff looking handicap mark (dropped 3lb from initial mark) when making handicap/Fibresand debut last time. Didn't look ideally suited by conditions there and now tries Tapeta for the first time.
Makes her AW debut here having not been seen since last autumn when she disappointed on soft turf at Goodwood over 6f. Her form before that was modest but she may do better after a break going handicapping for the first time.
Still a maiden but may be unlucky to be so having just failed to win on her last outing when with Eve Johnson Houghton over this trip. Now with a new yard and back from a break and a similar run would see her right in the mix here.
Back to form on her penultimate start she built on that good run on her first outing for this yard with a comprehensive Fibresand victory over 6f beating an odds-on shot easily. Picks up a penalty for that win if connections decide to go again quickly.
Looked far from the finished article last season with his last start (handicap debut) failing to show any improvement. Now with a new yard and making his Tapeta debut with the hood he wore before removed; best watched for now.
Looked to have been brought along steadily but showed a lot more last time out at Newcastle in a 6f minor event. Race developed rather away from her and that run signalled that she would be one to watch out for in handicaps; now makes her debut in that sphere.
Looked to bounce back to form last time after being out of sorts of late with second over C&D (proved no match for an easy winner). The reapplied visor (retained here) appeared to help and he is well below his last winning mark if he can build on that run.
Forecasts
Precious Silk (6/4), Daze Out (7/2), Super Florence (5/1), Mutabaahy (5/1), Section Onesixsix (10/1), Brockey Rise (12/1), Mount Victoria (25/1)
Her last run showed that DAZE OUT was progressing and she now moves into handicaps which always looked as though they would show her in a better light and her opening mark looks fair. Super Florence looks just the type that the Iain Jardine yard do well with and she shouldn’t be too long in breaking her maiden. Precious Silk (if she runs) will be bidding to build on her debut handicap win gained at Southwell on Thursday in good style under a penalty although this surface will be rather different. Section Onesixsix and Brockley Rise are two others that should be noted here although both have relatively tough tasks.
- Daze Out
- Super Florence
- Section Onesixsix
