4/5
C&D winner who was lightly raced last year (just three runs) and has now left his former yard (Bill Turner). Looked as though he needed the run when returning from a long absence over 5f at Lingfield (not suited by run of race); better expected here.

Only win so far has come in a 5f Newcastle maiden although he wasn't disgraced when last seen in a handicap back over that same C&D. Returns after another break and has a marginal edge at the weights with his main rival (Just That Lord).

Very lowly rated and has an almost impossible task at these weights having shown very little in three handicaps this year (all over further). Would be a very surprising winner and hard to fancy.

Just the one start to her name so far running to a poor level over 7f here having started at 80/1. Hardly favoured by these weights and she'll have to wait for handicaps before she is seen in a better light.

100/1
Offered very little on her sole start so far which came last summer over 5f on turf at Leicester. Slowly away on that occasion she went with little fluency and it's hard to make a case for her here.

Forecasts

Just That Lord (4/5), Scuzeme (11/10), Stapleford (33/1), Stopdworldnletmeof (50/1), Tina Teaspoon (100/1)

Verdict

A very modest contest which should see a shoot-out between JUST THE LORD and Scuzeme. The latter has the slight edge at the weights on official handicaps marks but the former may well have the edge in terms of fitness and is given the edge here. Hard to see past those two and the battle for the minor may go to Stapleford who has at least had some experience here with the other two offering equally poor credentials.
  1. Just That Lord
  2. Scuzeme
  3. Stapleford
