Appears transformed since being tried on the Fibresand of late rattling off a C&D hat-trick and beating one with a good record here last time. Has to prove that he can cope with the 4lb rise for that win but looks to be thriving at the moment.
Useful handicapper although he failed to win last year despite running some creditable races in big handicaps (poorly drawn when last seen). Has now dropped 2lb below his last winning mark but does face some Fibresand sprinting specialists here.
C&D form figures of 12515 show that he's a force to be reckoned with on Fibresand although he's yet to win for over a year (last win came over C&D off 7lb higher mark). Ran well on his reappearance here when 5th to Fooland and has a big turnaround in the weights with that one.
Has gone well on his two visits here and won on his only attempt over this C&D. Ended the turf season in decent form winning back-to-back handicaps before disappointing on his last run; returns from a break and may find this mark a testing one.
Won a maiden over 6f on his only previous visit to this venue and has proved himself in sprint handicaps on different AW surfaces since. Looks to have returned in decent form in three 6f AW handicaps (looked unlucky in last two); interesting back on this surface.
The last of his wins on Fibresand came in a C&D seller when with Derek Shaw. Has run well for his current yard without winning and not suited by the change of tactics last time out (held-up) but still looked in decent form; may just need to show a little more in this grade.
Three-time over C&D with two of those wins coming in his last three races but this is a major step up in class and he faces a stiff task from 14lb out of the handicap. No doubt his best form has come on this surface but this is a stiff task for him.

FOOLAAD goes from strength to strength over this C&D and he may well be able to complete a four-timer here having shown a very likeable attitude in all his races of late. Ascot Day has looked as though he’s running into form and a return to this surface may see his fortunes turn around. Captain Lars hasn’t quite fired for his new yard as yet and Poyle Vinnie could provide more danger especially off a reduced mark. Erissimus Maximus hasn’t been disgraced on this surface either he might need the run but is worth a market check.
