Revitalised by a switch to this yard last year, ending the campaign with successive 1m handicaps victories at Kempton and on this course. Reappears on a 4lb higher mark however, and done no favours by the draw.
Bang in form for previous Irish yard, winning back-to-back handicaps at Dundalk but only mid-division in two outings for this stable so far. Dropped a couple of pounds and well-drawn, so better expected here.
Hasn't won since September 2016 (7f Sandown), and built up a frustrating run of placed efforts early last year. Form has tapered off since then and, despite a plummeting mark, hasn't shown enough recently to inspire confidence.
Broke his maiden at the ninth attempt when winning over 1m2f here in June and went well when second off a 6lb higher mark at Windsor later that month. Unraced since, though booking of Kirby a positive sign for his comeback.
Modest for Richard Hannon, he showed bits and pieces of promise for this yard last year before undergoing wind surgery. Still a maiden but produced a decent comeback when a 2L fourth over C&D last month and should come on for that. Respected.
Broker her maiden over this C&D in 2015 but it's now 13 handicaps starts without a success following a third placed effort over 7f at Chelmsford on Thursday. Current mark is workable but stall 10 is a blow.
Has his limitations but was winning for the second time when taking advantage of a basement mark to score in first-time blinkers over C&D last month. Raised 3lb for that but no surprise if again heavily involved.
Now 12-years-old and a veteran of 120 starts, with 13 wins. The latest of those came in July off this mark but he hasn't really looked like adding to that tally in the meantime, running way below par over 7f latest.
Barely beat a rival home in her first eight starts but produced a much better effort when finishing a 1¼L second of nine behind Presence Process over C&D last time. No forlorn hope if able to build on that.
Three times a winner on fibresand from his regular visits to Southwell but very ordinary form away from that venue. Struggled badly over 7f at Kempton last time and readily opposed on that evidence..
Forecasts
Kafeel (6/4), No Approval (4/1), Sir Jamie (5/1), Deleyll (8/1), First Experience (12/1), Feel The Vibes (12/1), Tabla (12/1), Mette (25/1), Cyflymder (33/1), Trust Me Boy (66/1)
Kafeel ended last year in great heart and is respected in his hat-trick bid from a 4lb higher mark, though he's been done no favours by the draw and fellow last time out winner Sir Jamie prove be a more viable alternative. There is every reason to expect better from No Approval off a falling mark but any value here may lie with the lightly-raced DELEYLL. John Butler's gelding has a 250 day layoff to overcome but looked progressive during the first half of last season and the booking of Adam Kirby catches the eye on his return.
- Deleyll
- No Approval
- Sir Jamie
