Grade 1 winner as a novice last season and ended that season by taking the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse in April. Nothing coincidental about two below-par runs recently and really needs to get back to form here.
Off the pace since returning to the track this season with two heavy defeats in Grade 1 company. Drop in class may suit but could possibly be in the last chance saloon here.
Poor run in the Grade 1 John Durkan was followed by a 13L defeat in a listed contest at Tramore last month before a Grade 3 win in a weak Kinloch Brae recently. Tough ask but not dismissed.
Popular veteran C&D winner of this race last year but well beaten in a number of displays including last time out earlier this month when 35L behind stablemate Min.
Winner over hurdles last time out in the Grade 2 Galmoy here last month. Improving and young chaser capable of a big run here.
Forecasts
Our Duke (11/8), Presenting Percy (7/4), A Toi Phil (9/2), Valseur Lido (13/2), Ballycasey (10/1)
A race where there will be no hiding place for Our Duke who can easily bounce back to prominence here but there is a big cloud over his last two defeats allowing the improving PRESENTING PERCY to take full advantage in this contest. Valseur Lido and A Toi Phil can battle for third.
