Unraced son of Milan out of a point-to-point placed dam (Pretty Impressive). Cost €38,000 as a three-year-old, and is a brother to point winner Templenaboe, and a half-brother to 2m7f hurdle/chase winner More Than Luck.
Half-brother to bumper winner Chez Castel Mail, but he failed to attract any interest at auction prior to making his debut at Newcastle in February (a well beaten fourth to Al Shahir). Placed over C&D latest following wind surgery.
Well regarded Yeats gelding who proved sharper for wind surgery when beaten 2¼L by I'm To Blame at Musselburgh last month. Softer ground conditions here, but this €130,000 purchase is massively respected. Stablemate of Blaydon.
Getaway gelding who cost £90,000 following a 4L debut point-to-point success at Bartlemy (3m maiden, good). Travelled like the best horse in the race, and only done for greeness, when beaten a head by Highland Hunter on rules bow over C&D latest.
Closely related to Vintage Clouds, but looked in need of the experience when left toiling on debut at Haydock in late December (finished a distant last of five to Air Navigator). Looks to be the stable second string behind Hitman Fred.
Unraced fifth foal by Sakhee out of the 7f winner Peace Lily. Cost 3,000 gns as a yearling, this half-sister to 7f-1m winner Golden Wedding faces a very testing introduction to life on the racecourse. Stamina doubts.

Hitman Fred (6/4), Dr Hooves (13/8), Dali Mail (6/1), Blaydon (9/1), Tupence (16/1), Vintage Glen (25/1), Bell Ofthe Bongate (25/1)
Set the recording devices away, as this would appear to be a potentially above average Northern bumper. Dr Hooves is very well regarded by his trainer Lucinda Russell, but she must be cursing the abandonment of Ayr on Tuesday where her €130,000 purchase would surely have broken his duck with the minimum of fuss. Tupence is massively respected on debut for Susan Corbett given his appealing pedigree, and a market move for this inexperienced four-year-old would be revealing, but he'll more than likely have to be very smart to down the Rose Dobbin trained HITMAN FRED. He looked all over the winner on rules debut over C&D last month before being edged out for greeness by Highland Hunter (a stablemate of Blaydon and Dr Hooves), but with that experience gathered, this £90,000 acquisition should make no mistake at the second time of asking.
