Good record at the track (a win and three places from five starts) and nothing wrong with this mark based on some of his turf efforts last season, but has been off since finishing well beaten at Doncaster in October. May need this.
Was an improving horse when he last raced (ran second to the future 2000 Guineas winner Galileo Gold) but hasn't been seen for over two years. First run for new yard but handicapper has given him a real chance if fit. Watch the market.
Plenty of ability but hard to win with, and last victory came back in July 2016. Normally on the premises though and not beaten far despite only finishing seventh of eight last time, but may be playing for the places. Trip fine.
One win and one place from six starts here, stayed on late to finish midfield over 6f in December but couldn't reproduce that last time out. Return to Wolverhampton may help, but poorly drawn and on that, others make a bit more appeal.
C&D maiden winner back in 2016, lightly raced in recent times and this will only be his third start in 17 months. Didn't really show enough at Lingfield last time and no surprise to see the cheekpieces given a try, but still hard to fancy.
Good recent record over C&D, winner and a close second, and still looked like he was on a winning mark based on his close fourth at Newcastle last time. Should be some pace on here, which will help, and place chances at the very least.
Won back-to-back claimers at Lingfield last autumn, and almost landed the hat-trick over C&D on next run. Latest run can be forgiven, as hood wouldn't come off, but still performed with some credit and has to be taken seriously here.
Not seen much in recent times but looks on the countdown to a win based on last three efforts and may well reverse December form with Twin Appeal today. Still on a good mark on historical form and looks a major player tonight.
Mainly seen out at Southwell these days, where he seems happiest. In good form and has hit the frame on last two starts, but finds winning hard and it looks like the handicapper has his measure at present.
Had been knocking on the door prior to getting his head back in front at Southwell last time, but seems to handle this surface too and when he finds his form, tends to keep it. Every chance of the follow up, with this trip ideal.
Thrashed a moderate bunch in a maiden on the Fibresand at Southwell in December but couldn't follow up when made even-money favourite back there last time. May bounce back but yard struggling for winners, and others make more appeal.
On a good mark on old form, but apart from a reasonable effort at Chelmsford in December it's been pretty much a tale of woe this winter. Seems to find this grade too tough at present and may need an easier task to get back to winning ways.
Forecasts
Twin Appeal (4/1), Right Touch (9/2), Mickey (5/1), The Great Wall (6/1), Exchequer (6/1), Unforgiving Minute (7/1), Custard The Dragon (11/1), Dougan (16/1), Hayadh (20/1), Welliesinthewater (25/1), Mujassam (28/1), Barracuda Boy (50/1)
The Great Wall could make an attempt to make all here, as there's not much pace on, but his form needs improving and he may be a sitting duck in the latter stages. Now that CUSTARD THE DRAGON has found his form he may keep it, and a wide draw may not be a barrier to success. Twin Appeal is more likely to run his race than a few and can take some prizemoney home. Unforgiving Minute and Exchequer are others to consider.
