Improving handicapper, but a one that the assessor certainly hasn't missed. Up a further 3lb in the weights since finishing 3½L second to Peace N'Milan at Gowran Park (2m4f) just under a fortnight ago.
Veteran who was a winner over fences at Cork early last month (2m4f heavy). Attractively weighted over hurdles, some 23lb lower than over fences, but couldn't make that count at Navan latest.
Yet to score over hurdles in four starts, but beaten just shy of 5L by High School Days on her penultimate start at Thurles in December (2m heavy). Up a further 2lb, but handles a longer trip without problems.
Had Smokey Joe Joe in behind when registering a second career hurdles success last month at Navan (2m4f heavy). Raised 8lb by the assessor, but could prove even stronger if ridden with slightly more restraint early.
Doesn't win all that often (1 from 15 career), but there's no denying that stamina is his forte. Solid when last in action during the spring/summer months, but now 10lb higher than when winning by 18L at Kilbeggan in June (3m1f soft).
A 13 race maiden, she doesn't have all that many positive efforts on her CV, but she was beaten just 1½L by Presentingoscar over this trip at Clonmel in November, and that suggests at her very best she can compete off this mark.
Lightly raced filly who produced a best effort on her third career hurdles start over C&D last month (heavy) to get within 4L of Maeve's Choice (maiden hurdle). This is more competitive, and represents her handicap bow, but deserves respect.
Largely unconvincing so far, but did hit the frame in a point-to-point for Shark Hanlon at Loughbrickland in November (3m heavy). Tries the handicap route for the first time having raced in novice/maiden hurdle events in England.
Never better than mid-division on handicap debut at Down Royal on Boxing Day (2m heavy), so needs to take a sizeable step forward now fitted with the first time tongue tie.
A two time winner over hurdles in 22 starts, both of which came over a trip of 2m4f. Near enough her last winning mark despite a 3lb rise for a much improved ½L second to Our Boy Boru (caught close home) at Down Royal latest.
Not won a race since May 2016 (1m1f), and offered little in five starts for her previous trainer over hurdles. Hard to understand why she's with this trainer now, and only of any interest if the market speaks positively.

GRAINEYHILL needs to produce a career best effort in order to record a second career success over hurdles, but there can be no denying that last month's ready Clonmel winner is on a steady upward curve. The handicapper keeps making life increasingly tougher for the Gordon Elliott trained seven-year-old, but this is a statement which is equally applicable to a few of the others including the last time out Navan winner Wee Small Hours. If there is to be a lightly raced sort who is ahead of the handicapper, it will be Benefit Of Magic, with the pre-race market moves surely most informative as to her likely chances of downing a sporting selection.
