Samovar looked unlucky at Southwell last week but this quicker surface is an unknown. He is closely matched on form with Avon Green and Elegant Joan so all three are respected. However, NAMPARA ran Joegogo to 1¾L here in November and that rival landed two more handicaps off substantially higher weights. The third has also gone well in novice company since and, following a pipe opener ten days ago, she should be ready to take advantage of a drop in class.
