Has some good novice form for Ben Pauling but yet to really get going for this yard and may struggle with top-weight here.

Veteran C&D winner (off a higher mark than this), but is on a long losing streak and may struggle to resume winning ways against much less exposed rivals.

Slightly disappointing that he's yet to get off the mark over fences given he's 3/3 over hurdles. Should win a handicap of this nature eventually, and a first-time visor may help.

Up 11lb for impressive win at Bangor last time out. May not have stayed the marathon trip on his previous start (was 20/1 in any case) and could have further progression to come.

Made a good start for this yard last year but recent form has left plenty to be desired and he's readily opposed.

Still 10lb higher than his latest winning mark and for all that was an impressive performance (on soft ground), recent starts have shown he needs some help from the handicapper.

A step in the right direction when third over C&D last time out. Just 1lb higher here and would be right in the mix if able to build on that effort, especially based on the pick of his form.

Making his way down to an attractive mark on his first start for this yard. Seems better going right-handed so could show more than recent starts at Worcester and Warwick.

Forecasts

Vice Et Vertu (2/1), Royalraise (4/1), Private Malone (9/2), Theatrical Star (7/1), Cloudy Bob (8/1), Castarnie (10/1), Local Show (12/1), According To Harry (20/1)

Verdict

Cloudy Bob is entitled to run his race now making his way back down to a good mark while Vice Et Vertu hols obvious claims following at 11L romp at Bangor last time. They may be the ones to serve it up to ROYALRAISE. Oliver Sherwood's charge has placed at this course twice in the past and if able to show his best form may be well-treated against some rivals who have questions to answer.
  1. Royalraise
  2. Cloudy Bob
  3. Vice Et Vertu
