Bidding for a hat-trick he carries a 7lb penalty, and though that may have been an issue over a short distance it seems that this step up in trip should help him find further improvement on ground that should suit and at a course he won at as recently as December. Kalmbeforethestorm is another for the shortlist after an encouraging performance last time out.
