This will be her third outing for this yard and so far she's shown very little with the visor tried for the first time on her last outing now discarded. She ought to be at home on this surface (first try here) but her current form leaves her with plenty to prove.
His Fibresand/handicap debut was a successful one coming on his first run for this yard off a 4lb lower mark. That was improved form but he's hardly built on that since although both of his subsequent runs have come on Tapeta; may do better now back on Fibresand.
His form figures of 34 over C&D may not do him justice as he's run better than his final placing on both of those starts. Dropped 2lb from his last run here with cheekpieces now added for the first time he might do better back over 5f; travels well in his races.
Improved on all his previous form when winning over 6f at Kempton at the turn of the year and followed up with a good second here over 7f (second to Ray Purchase). Better off at the weights now for the re-match he should get closer although his yard is rather quiet at the moment.
Took a while to get off the mark but either the surface or the first-time visor stimulated a win here over 7f on his penultimate start. Built on that last time when running into an improver on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton; could well benefit from a return to Fibresand.
Well below form when last seen coming back from a break when tried over a mile at Newcastle (ran very free). Yet to be tried on this surface and steps back to 6f here with her yard not having had many winners of late.
Now makes her handicap debut having been tried on this surface for the first time on her last start in a 7f novice event. Went well enough up to a point and having not started at less than 100/1 in her four starts so far will have more chance now she is handicapping.
Her two runs so far here have shown very little and she was well beaten in a seller when last seen on the Fibresand over this 6f. Now tried in a visor for the first time having previously worn a hood but does looks a hard ride.
Forecasts
Ray Purchase (6/4), Istanbul Pasha (9/2), Our Kid (6/1), Shades Of Mist (7/1), What Do You Think (7/1), Teardrop Island (10/1), Astrofire (16/1), Born For Prosecco (25/1)
A fair bit of Fibresand form to go on here in this three-year-old handicap and RAY PURCHASE looks as though his run style suits this surface ideally although he will have to cope with a drop back to 6f to confirm the form with Istanbul Pasha. That one may finish closer this time but it may well be that Our Kid and Shades Of Mist will provide the bigger dangers. The former looks to be better than his two previous runs here although given how well he travels he may be better at 5f and the latter will surely appreciate a return to Fibresand the surface looking to bring about some improved form on his handicap debut.
- Ray Purchase
- Shades Of Mist
- Our Kid
