Her only win from 24 Flat runs came here over this trip and did finish a creditable 4th here last time out when leading for some way (went with zest). That run came behind a couple that look to be improving on this surface but she remains 6lb above her last winning mark.

Needs very little introduction here having already won seven times (twice last year) around here. Not disgraced last time out but and well below his last winning mark but hardly looking a solid proposition at the moment.

Both his runs here have been sound ones and the blinkers are now added for the first time to eke out some more improvement stepping up 4f in trip. Kept on well last time out and this trip could suit and certainly one of the leading players here.

Gets her first taste of Fibresand here having run poorly when last seen at Wolverhampton over a shorter trip. Looks well handicapped if she came back to some sort of form but that is isn't looking likely on her last few runs.

Form figures read 332 on Fibresand she generally runs a solid enough race here (mostly from the front). Stays further than this 1m4f so it won't be a surprise to see her given a positive ride here off a mark she looks capable of winning off.

Gets his first experience of this surface but has shown very little so far on the Flat and ran an even poorer race last time out over hurdles. Even in this lowly grade he makes little appeal on what he's shown so far.

Has had just the one start here and that was a fairly inauspicious one over 1m3f and she now reverts to the cheekpieces that saw her run her best recent race at Newcastle over 2m. Below form last time though (in a visor) and makes only limited appeal here.

Blinkers now go on for the first time as he bids to improve his poor record (096) on Fibresand. Fared poorly over C&D last time and not really one to be interested in even off a mark this low.

Made very little and limited impact in handicaps during last year with his previous form here seeing him struggle badly from an early stage. Back from a break now (last run over hurdles) and not really one to be interested in.

Breeding hardly inspires that she will act on this surface and her recent efforts on other AW surfaces have also been rather disappointing. Still a maiden and hard to see here breaking that record here.

Can Can Dreamb9
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-10| J: Noel Garbutt(3)| T: Olly Williams| OR:  45

Given a couple of tries on this surface (one over C&D) coming back from a year off the course. Blinkers were tried for the first time last time out and had little effect and it's hard to see her making much improvement here.

Forecasts

Dream Serenade (2/1), Ignacio Zuloaga (11/4), Go On Gal (9/2), The Lock Master (10/1), Remember Nerja (10/1), Pantomime (10/1), Infiniti (16/1), Clayton Hall (20/1), Captain Cockle (33/1), Rob's Legacy (50/1), Can Can Dream (66/1)

Verdict

A weak affair with plenty running from out of the handicap having shown very little creditable form on this surface and it looks to give DREAM SERENADE a good chance of grabbing a win here having been placed on all her three starts at the track. Ignacio Zuloaga is another who has been placed on both her starts here but she does step up 4f in trip today and that might just tell in the closing stages. Go On Gal and Lock Master have both run with credit here before and although neither are in sparkling form at least you know they act on the surface.
  1. Dream Serenade
  2. Ignacio Zuloaga
  3. Go On Gal
