Running well at Newcastle lately but not always quick from the gate and won't get away with a slow start here. 3lb ries for latest placed effort perhaps a little harsh and not won for some time. Place claims if he takes to this new surface.
Only win from 15 runs came over this trip at Newcaslte just over a year ago. Changed yards since but signs this trainer has found the key to him and not beaten far in three of his four starts on AW this winter. Capable of running well again.
Won a 6f soft ground maiden at Catterick in 2016 but only seen sparingly since and tailed off when last seen at Wetherby. May need this run on stable debut and return from a significant absence.
C&D winner, largely out of form of late but recovered well from a slow start at Wolverhampton last time in a claimer to finish runner-up. Tardy starts something of a trait these days and this course is less forgiving.
Promise at two and three-years-old for Sir Michael Stoute and first run for current stable saw him race keenly before finishing second of nine over 1m at Lingfield. Assessor dropped him 3lb for latest effort and likely to get his head in front soon.
Still a maiden after 20 starts (19 Flat) but has managed to place on is last four efforts on the Flat. Given more relief from the handicapper here and gets a talented apprentice on board; can't be ruled out despite unappealing profile.
Won a C&D maiden here and placed in two handicaps either side of that effort. Less exposed than many in here and gets a 1lb drop for her latest effort. Should go well from a nice draw.
Course winner here in 2016 and showed he stays this trip when winning well at Kempton in October. Handicapper seemingly caught up with him now though and probably best watched in a competitive heat.
C&D runner-up in December but unplaced on two subsequent runs. May need some relief from the handicapper before he's considered for win purposes again.
Forecasts
Paradise Lake (11/4), My Amigo (7/2), Shamrokh (5/1), Lunar Deity (6/1), Prerogative (8/1), Wicker (8/1), Ross Raith Rover (12/1), Medicean El Diablo (16/1), Man Of Verve (25/1)
PARADISE LAKE doesn't look entirely straightforward but he has relatively few miles on the clock compared to many of these and the handicapper has given him a real chance. Wicker comes in with a similar profile and gives the impression she's on a workable mark while Shamrokh has been running well on the all-weather this winter and can get involved for minor honours.
- Paradise Lake
- Wicker
- Shamrokh
