Won over slightly shorter here in 2015 but just a sole turf success since. Put some very indifferent efforts behind when finishing third of 13 over C&D last time out so no surprise if in the mix.
Not easy to win with but did score on turf over this trip in the summer and also boasts a hurdle success on his CV. Mark looks fair and noted staying on over a shorter trip at Lingfield last time out.
Remains a maiden after nine starts with his best effort coming when fourth over this C&D back in November. For all that, he has something to prove after an abject effort at Wolverhampton last time.
Not had that much racing since last getting his head in front at Wolverhampton (1m4f) in July 2016, showing little in a handful of runs last year. Others look more persuasive right now.
An 11 race maiden who hasn't always looked the most straightforward, though he did go close over this trip at Lingfield last month. Below par over C&D since but interesting to see what tune Jamie Spencer can get out of him.
Twice a winner off higher marks in 2016 but lost his way a bit last year. For all that, he showed better signs on his reappearance when beaten less than 4L behind Iley Boy over C&D.
Veteran performer who is more renowned for his jumping exploits which have yielded eight wins. Has long been in decline in that sphere, however, and it would be a surprise to see him break his maiden on the Flat today.
Off the mark over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last month and, though below par at Lingfield next time, he regained the winning thread in decisive fashion over C&D last time. Every chance of defying a 4lb rise.
Flashes of promise at times though remains a 10 race maiden. For all that, she probably produced a career-best in first-time cheekpieces at Lingfield last time when third of 13 over 1m2f. May improve for the step up in trip.
Maiden after 14 races, never as much as reaching a place in that time. Noted making some late progress when mid-division over 1m2f at Lingfield latest so this longer trip may help but others still more convincing.
Mainly modest form but did get the better of Iley Boy by a neck over this C&D in November only to run abysmally at Lingfield next time. Cheekpieces reached for.
Never as much reached a place in his first 13 races but signs of improvement when a runner-up in modest company at Lingfield (1m2f) last time out. Had previously not appeared to stay 1m4f, so plenty still to prove.

Forecasts
Iley Boy (11/4), Avocet (9/2), Nicky Baby (6/1), Bogardus (7/1), Tis Wonderful (10/1), Almutamarred (10/1), Rock'n Gold (12/1), Hallingham (14/1), Helium (14/1), Bird For Life (20/1), Cloud Nine (20/1), Mr Lando (20/1)
ILEY BOY has really got his act together of late to win two of his last three starts and the manner of his decisive success over C&D last time out suggests he could take some stopping off just a 4lb higher mark. Chief opposition could come from the mare Avocet who shaped as though this longer trip should suit when third in first-time cheekpieces at Lingfield last time out. Bogardus should also be competitive despite top-weight whilst Rock'n Gold is also of some interest under Jamie Spencer.
- Iley Boy
- Avocet
- Rock'n Gold
