Three-time C&D winner, latest in a seller in May. Ran well over this trip last month when close third having gone off favourite, though tame effort since at Wolverhampton. Cannot be discounted back here.

Filly is 0-5 on the AW but she has posted three solid efforts here over the last month, including staying on second over 7f nine days ago. Back up in trip from same mark, expected to go well again.

4/1
Convincing winner of 1m maiden handicap at Southwell in early December, poor there a week later under a penalty but found only one too good over 7f here nine days ago and due a 2lb increase after this race as a result. Obvious chance with claim.

Dual Wolverhampton winner who hit a purple patch last spring but has lost his way since. Marginally better effort this month at Kempton when dropped to 1m. 3lb below previous winning mark and sports a first-time hood today.

10/1
13-race maiden who likes to do things from the front. Just lacks a change of gear to see it out, as evidenced last month over C&D (fourth) and this month at Kempton (third). Chance on these terms, but may find at least one to overhaul him.

Ran on to finish second behind easy winner over 7f at Kempton 16 days ago. Should be suited by extra yardage and that form ties in well with Sonnet Rose. Remains 2lb above previous AW winning mark.

An 11-race maiden, the mare didn't show much in four starts for this yard back in the summer, including a 6L defeat over this C&D in May. Off since August and likely to need this return, she wears a first-time tongue tie.

Limited signs of ability in six starts to date, one of her better efforts did come here over 7f nine days ago but that still leaves her with plenty more to find now back up to a mile.

Runner-up in 1m Kempton nursery back in 2015, endured 553-days away and best efforts since return have come over 1m4f. No threat at Kempton this month over 1m3f and has it all to prove dropping in trip.

Sole success in 15 starts came in basement-grade Wolverhampton contest in April over extended-mile. Never a threat and beaten 9L over 7f here late last month, faces uphill task on these terms despite addition of first-time blinkers.

Three's A Crowd9
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-13| J: Jane Elliott(5)| T: E De Giles| OR:  45

Has failed to catch the eye in any of his starts and has a lot to do here from 5lb out of the weights having been well fended off in pair of 7f contests here lately.

Forecasts

Baby Gal (7/2), Sonnet Rose (4/1), Tigerfish (4/1), Chelwood Gate (6/1), Lord Murphy (8/1), Tarseekh (10/1), Lady Nahema (12/1), Sir Jamie (16/1), Garcon De Soleil (20/1), Three's A Crowd (25/1), Spike's Princess (25/1)

Verdict

SONNET ROSE did little wrong when settling for second here over 7f nine days ago and is attractively weighted now in her attempt to go one better over this longer trip as Sebastian Woods eases the burden on her back appreciably. Tigerfish has form that ties in nicely with the selection and showed her well-being at Kempton recently, booking her place on the shortlist. Three-time C&D winner Chelwood Gate cannot be ruled out back around here. Baby Gal has been knocking on the door lately and should get involved while Lord Murphy is on a good mark if the first-time hood perks up his ideas.
  1. Sonnet Rose
  2. Chelwood Gate
  3. Baby Gal
