Sole success was over 1m4f (soft) when trained by Andre Fabre in France. Travelled well for a long way on hurdles debut at Plumpton this month, at least has fitness from that effort and faces a moderate bunch now.

Multiple winner on the continent but makes British racecourse bow with temperament under question having refused to race previously two outings. Hood goes on today.

Patchy record over jumps (1-29), though did gain that sole success in 2m3½f good-ground handicap hurdle at Clonmel in May 2017. Third start for this yard, AW/Flat bow (0-5 in bumpers).

A 30-race maiden, including 22 previous attempts on the Flat. Stamina questions to be answered on sole previous try at this sort of trip on AW at Kempton. Others preferred on Flat return.

Record is 0-10 on the AW, with two recent efforts here and at Southwell over this sort of trip offering very little to suggest that run is going to end. Best passed over.

Just the one win from 17 starts, that coming at Wolverhampton last March, but basically moderate form since including when beating just one of 11 rivals home over C&D on Wednesday.

Verdict

This is anything but strong, even for the grade, and appears to offer Age Of Wisdom a decent chance to register his first Flat win at the ninth attempt. He ran well for a long way over hurdles this month at Plumpton. He doesn't set an exacting standard however and it might be worth chancing MILLEN DOLLAR MAN on his belated Flat bow. The nine-year-old scored his only career success in May on good ground in Ireland over hurdles and is race-fit having had a couple of spins over timber for this yard. He won't require anything out of the ordinary to snare this prize. Cantabro has winning form in Europe but hasn't always been a willing co-operator, he is another that can get involved if consenting on his British racecourse bow.

  2. Age Of Wisdom
  3. Cantabro
