Irish point-to-point runner-up when last seen in 2016. His unraced dam is out of an unraced half-sister to classy chaser Merry Gale (won at up to 3m1f) and to dam of classy 2m-2m4f hurdler/chaser Racing Demon. Stable 11% in bumpers. Check market.
Probably outperformed his debut odds of 14-1 when beaten just over 6L (2m½f, soft) at Bangor last month. Ran green enough there but showed a fair degree of promise and with improvement for that experience he should be in the shake-up this time.
9L fourth on his debut in a Doncaster bumper (good to soft) last month, when he had every chance until entering the final furlong. With that very encouraging effort t 50-1 to build on, he could stake a claim on some prize money this time.

Enough thought of him to be sent off at just 9-2 on his Taunton debut in April. Hung as if something amiss and pulled up that day. Wind surgery may have cured that and market check suggested on debut for stable that has a good record in bumpers.
5-1 and ran well on debut at Exeter (heavy) on New Year's Day, having every chance until same pace in the final furlong and being 7L second. Stable not had a bumper winner for over five years, but wouldn't rule him out from bucking that trend.

Showed some promise on debut at Exeter last month and was not knocked about when beaten, coming home 24L fifth. Can build on that today and top pilot can help matters, so wouldn't rule him out taking much closer order.

Tailed off on debut at Huntingdon (good to soft) last month. Will need a lot of improvement to figure this time, but no reason why he can't build on that initial effort.

Tailed off and beaten a long way on his Uttoxeter debut in a maiden bumper (soft) in December 2016. Not seen since and reappears after a wind operation. Probably one to watch this time.

Not unfancied on debut when 8-1 at Stratford (good to soft) last July and ran well for a long way that day, before fading to be beaten 25L. Softer ground will ask more questions of her stamina and she will need significant improvement to figure.

Well beaten (27L) on debut at Stratford (good to soft) in July. Nice pedigree and should pick up a race or two in time, but looks in need of further and is probably one to watch on stable debut.

Forecasts

Granard (2/1), Stoney Mountain (11/4), Not Normal (3/1), No Getaway (5/1), Springcombe Joe (6/1), Rgb The Architect (12/1), Oscars Leader (14/1), Cut And Run (33/1), Belle En Noir (50/1), Her Dream (50/1), Luma's Gift (66/1), Talk Of Monty (66/1)

Verdict

Granard has a nice pedigree, represents a top yard and it would be no surprise if he puts up a good performance on his rules debut, while No Getaway, Springcombe Joe, Stoney Mountain and Rgb The Architect are runners with the potential to show improvement this time. The same may apply to a greater degree to NOT NORMAL, who got the hang of things late on on his Bangor debut and may have more to come than the others on this occasion.
  1. Not Normal
  2. No Getaway
  3. Rgb The Architect
