A shade unfortunate not to be unbeaten over fences, but he has put a Wetherby fall firmly in the past with a pair of subsequent deep ground successes (Hexham and Newcastle). Doubly penalised accordingly, but has a little in hand on these terms.

Had a off day at Newcastle in December following a straightforward success at Ayr in November (3m soft), but thankfully appears to have put that experience in the past. Trip and ground fine, track not ideal, but a promising 7lb claimer booked.

Milan gelding who was a 2m6f Downpatrick maiden hurdle scorer for Noel Meade in May. Things haven't quite gone his way since switched to fencing, and moved on for £25,000 in September. Early days, so potentially much more to offer over fences.

Long standing maiden over hurdles (0 from 18), and whilst she has a point-to-point success to her name, she couldn't be considered in the slightest here on her rules chasing bow.

Very First Time (1/2), Fly Rory Fly (10/3), Acdc (5/1), Poetic Presence (33/1)

Verdict

No doubt Tim Easterby would've preferred to have gone back to Newcastle on Sunday (abandoned) with VERY FIRST TIME, but that wasn't to be and needs must, so he rocks up here instead under a double penalty. Whilst this isn't quite such a straightforward task, he really should be returning to the winners enclosure with a clear round, with Nick Alexander's new recruit Fly Rory Fly likely to be best of the rest.
