Won back-to-back handicaps earlier in the year, and still looks nicely treated on those efforts, but was well beaten on reappearance last month and doesn't look ready to strike again just yet.
Not at his best the last twice, so needs to up his game a tad. However, the gelding is on a fair mark just now and wouldn't have too much to find to make the frame on his better efforts. Worth a betting check.
Has won twice over this trip at Uttoxeter in the last year but form away from that course has been a little disappointing and poor when tailed off at Exeter last month. Has won in heavy ground so can't be dismissed if bouncing back.
Has won one of his six starts since switching to fences and that came over this trip. Not disgraced last time at Ffos Las and has a wind operation since that run. Wears a first-time tongue-tie and market could be revealing.
Still a maiden after 11 starts under Rules but he's gone close on occasions, including in heavy ground. Eighth of 12 in October not one of his better efforts last time and given a break since so interesting to see how he fears in the market here.
Two wins from 20 starts over fences but losing run stands at 11 at present. Has run well on testing ground before and well below his last winning mark now so can't be ruled out if bouncing back.
Gained his first win under Rules with a C&D success last time out and trainer and jockey have an excellent strike-rate around here. Yard flying at present and every chance he will build on that success from 6lb higher here.
Winner on chase debut at Kelso in April but pulled up on reappearance last month. Hard to know whether that was ground related or due to the absence so market could be informative here.
Forecasts
Dick Darsie (85/40), Lunar Flow (5/2), Bassarabad (5/1), Bacchanel (8/1), Purple Harry (11/1), Purcell's Bridge (12/1), Voyage A New York (12/1), The Orange Rogue (28/1)
DICK DARSIE's course and distance success last time was impressive and he should remain effective from a 6lb higher mark for a yard in fine form. Voyage A New York is on a nice mark and shouldn't be ruled out while Bassarabad has had a wind operation since his last win and he gets the addition of a first-time tongue-tie so it could pay to watch the market with regards to his chance.
- Dick Darsie
- Voyage A New York
- Bassarabad
