Very consistent performer who heads the weights for a good reason. His last three career successes have come on right handed tracks with some cut, and he'll undoubtedly benefit for his comeback run, but is this trip enough of a test?
Broke his career duck at Carlisle in March 2016 (2m novices chase, good to soft), and has twice filled the runner up spot since, including when caught close home by Bollin Line at Catterick last month (2m good to soft). Now 3lb higher.
Hasn't won since July 2016, but in his defence he has went plenty close enough to doing so. His most recent Catterick conqueror Ramonex (2m3f+) ran well at Kelso on Sunday, so he has definite possibilities off the same mark.
Old timer who is lurking on an attractive mark, beaten just 5L off 16lb higher on his last visit to Musselburgh in November 2016 (C&D). Stepped back in the right direction on a 'grey day' at Lingfield last month, so holds a chance.
Irish point-to-point winner who hasn't had all that much rules racing experience. His last four starts have come at this track, but have offered minimal encouragement. Dropped 5lb since his January rules chasing debut.
A winner of 19 races in 126 starts, but has become something of an enigma in the latter stages of his career. Well beaten over hurdles latest, and in four starts over fences since tasting success at Cartmel in May (2m1f+).

Forecasts
Swing Hard (2/1), Nefyn Bay (9/4), Rancher Lass (6/1), Boy's On Tour (13/2), Wings Of Smoke (13/2), Tomorrow's Legend (13/2), Running In Heels (10/1), Endeavor (25/1)
Running the risk of sounding repetitive, this is another tight and trappy handicap. Rancher Lass is back for more, but down in trip after making a successful raid in December (3m), and her chances could be enhanced by a positive showing from Havana Jack earlier in the afternoon. Wings Of Smoke will be able to draw his pension in a couple more years, but he's a grand sort who is attractively handicapped on the pick of his form, and could have a positive role to play if able to replicate his fine Lingfield effort last month. However, NEFYN BAY just about holds sway in the selection stakes, racing off the same mark as when second to Ramonex at Catterick, with his conqueror going mightily close to following up at Kelso on Sunday.
- Nefyn Bay
- Wings Of Smoke
- Rancher Lass
