Looks as though he sets the standard here having confirmed the promise of his debut run when winning over a mile a Kempton. Cheekpieces added to the always worn tongue-tie when beaten last time out at Newcastle by a useful sort and should go close here.

Newcomer who cost 35,000 guineas as a yearling and is a half-brother to a useful winner at up to a 1m2f in Allumage. Worth noting in the market on debut.

Very green on his debut in a 7f Newmarket maiden he was unable to land a blow and failed to get competitive in his only other start over a mile here. Hood that he wore last time is now removed but he looks one more for the longer term and handicaps.

Cost €250,000 as a yearling so he clearly wasn't a cheap purchase but he was far too green to show anything when slowly away and trailing home last over a mile on debut at Chelmsford. Given his purchase price he can be expected to do better here but may still need the experience.

Showed more than he did on his debut second time around at Wolverhampton over and extended mile having made his debut over the same C&D. Started at 40/1 both times and needs this run for a mark and may be seen to better effect when he goes handicapping.

Appears to be one of the lesser lights from the stable and looks bred for a test of stamina that he hasn't had so far in three runs. Kept to 1m2f again and the suspicion is that he'll need further and handicaps to see him in the best light.

No surprise to see him stepped up a couple of furlongs in trip (pedigree looks full of stamina) having shown very little on his debut (very green). Did a little better on his second start switched to the AW (failed to settle) and more expected in handicaps in future.

Visor now goes on after just one run for this yard having drawn a blank in four runs in Ireland when with Joseph O'Brien. Steps up in trip here for the first time but has plenty to prove at present.

Forecasts

Native Appeal (4/9), Shakour (4/1), Cross Swords (13/2), Mood For Mischief (14/1), Iconic Boy (14/1), Teardrop Island (16/1), Roundabout Kitten (20/1), Ttmab (50/1)

Verdict

NATIVE APPEAL ran into an improving type last time out at Newcastle when he was beaten into second but he lost no caste in defeat there and he doesn’t look to face anything of that quality in this field. Shakour looks to be in need of a real test of stamina and will be seen in a better light over further while a couple of these like Roundabout Kitten and Iconic Boy will be seen to better effect in handicaps. The only newcomer in the field Cross Swords has a decent pedigree and any market support will be worth noting.
