Verdict

The long absence is an obvious concern but it's tough to find anything to take STAR ARCHER on with here and even if he isn't in absolutely top form on his first run since October 2016, he should still be too good for the rest of these. The addition of a hood is a positive as it could negate any keenness after the lay-off. Elite Treaty, recently fourth on debut at Lingfield, and the experienced Sam Missile could be the ones to chase him home.
