Took well to this surface last time and, although hit hard by the handicapper, we have seen her trainer excel with this type over the past year. Further progress cannot be ruled out and she has to go on the shortlist.
Had a good year in 2017 but, by the end of it, the handicapper had caught up with him and he faces another stiff task. Has hung sharply right on last his two starts and it is plausible he will be happier here than at Lingfield.
Mark has dropped dramatically and this is his easiest task by far. Back to what was his optimum trip in Italy where he won five races and appreciated slow surfaces. Could be an interesting play at a big price.
In good form around here a year ago but off the track following two modest efforts in March. Likely to need the run and handicap mark may be up with events.
Successful twice at 1m2f/1m6f and a good fourth in the Northumberland Plate Consolation. Took some stick from the handicapper, but went well back to this mark following a break last time. Goes well fresh and another three months off is a positive.
Winner on second start in France and later shipped off to North America. Has joined a good yard, but usual headgear has been removed. Having contested a Grade 2 last time he might be better than this, so check the market.
Enjoyed a productive spell on the Flat last summer landing a 1m1f maiden and improving on that in two handicaps since. Versatile in terms of ground and tactics so every chance he will act around here. Goes well fresh and stable are going well.
Winner here in midweek when appreciating the step up in distance. In a much stronger race this time and has to defy a penalty.

This is a really good race for this time of year and one where the topweights Snowy Winter and Storm King are the only ones proven on the surface. The former was impressive here last time and we have become accustomed to her excellent trainer's horses complete sequences of victories in handicaps. On this occasion it is questionable she can concede weight to KENSINGTON STAR. The five-year-old goes well fresh and appears to have found himself back on a workable mark having been hit hard for his consistency last summer. The yard's other runner Starplex has plausible claims and Galileo's Spear is an intriguing horse for his shrewd trainer to work with. Cosmelli may have been waiting for an opportunity to race on a slow surface and a drop to this distance. It would be no surprise to see him give a good account at generous odds.
