Rincon Del Puerto Restaurante Garrucha Fillies' Juvenile Hurdle

Off time: 16:05 | Winning time: 4m 2.70s

Hillcrest Fire³²

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: Joshua Moore| T: S Edmunds| D

1/1

Useful performer on the Flat in Ireland and impressed on her hurdling debut despite being too keen. Paid the price for racing freely on more testing ground in better company a month ago, but this is a much less demanding contest.

Form: 13

Bois D'ebene⁸⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams

20/1

Failed to make the frame in 10 starts on the level where she dropped to a modest mark of 54 when last seen.

Form:

Let's Be Happy⁷⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: Brendan Powell| T: A Stronge

12/1

Picked up for 10,000 gns from Richard Hughes last month, this two time Flat winner (up to 1m2f) makes her hurdles/stable debut.

Form:

Mirzam⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: J E Moore| T: T Symonds

33/1

Flat winner for Mick Channon but tailed off on both starts over hurdles and hard to fancy as a result.

Form: 55

Penny Red^t⁵¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: T E Whelan| T: Mrs N S Evans

40/1

Maiden on the Flat and comfortably held on both starts over hurdles. Has failed to last home on both occasions and she will need to settle better.

Form: 64

Quimba²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

10/1

Showed some ability on last month''s bumper debut at Newbury and holds place claims in a race lacking in depth.

Form: 8

Shambra^h¹¹⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: L P Aspell| T: L Wadham

8/1

Made all to land two class six handicaps for Roger Fell and achieved a rating of 65. Joined current yard for 16,000 gns and an interesting newcomer proven on any ground.

Form:

Shee's Lucky⁵¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: N D Fehily| T: N P Mulholland

9/4

Runner-up to Hillcrest Fire in November when her jumping was indifferent. Closely matched with that winner on these terms, but that rival made a mess of the last and she may have been flattered to get so close.

Form: 2

Forecasts

Hillcrest Fire (1/1), Shee's Lucky (9/4), Shambra (8/1), Quimba (10/1), Let's Be Happy (12/1), Bois D'ebene (20/1), Mirzam (33/1), Penny Red (40/1)

Shambra is an interesting newcomer for the Lucy Wadham team and it will be interesting to see how the market evaluates her chances. HILLCREST FIRE and Shee's Lucky met at Leicester in November with the former coming out on top. There should be little between them on these terms, but HILLCREST FIRE made a mistake at the last, having dominated her rivals, and Neil Mulholland's filly may have been flattered to get so close.
