Has won four times here, three of them on the AW track, including over C&D. Fine effort last month over this trip on the back of a layoff and much-respected from the same mark.

Good run recently at Kempton over extended-mile in Class 2 contest, perhaps not being entirely suited by how the race unfolded. Drops in distance (has won over 7f as a two-year-old) and respected for yard in super form (4-13).

Mare outran odds of 33/1 when 3L third of eight over C&D last month in Class 3 contest. Forced to make up a lot of ground then, she runs off the same mark and would hold claims from a more prominent perch.

In good form on the turf over the summer, winning Chepstow mile handicap when last spotted in August. Handles AW and not written off but perhaps race-fit rivals will have her measure today.

Forecasts

Make Music (6/4), Soul Silver (7/4), Star Quality (7/4), Yeah Baby Yeah (4/1), Pattie (5/1)

Verdict

Four-time Lingfield winner MAKE MUSIC shaped very nicely off a 221-day break when finishing a close fourth over C&D last month under this claiming rider. They get in here on the same terms in a race which may not have the same depth. Despite some threats, Andrew Balding's charge earns the vote to extend her love-affair with this place. Star Quality showed there was no fluke in her Wolverhampton maiden win with a fine run over an extended-mile at the same track last time out and is open to further progress. Soul Silver represents a yard in solid form and, while behind Star Quality last time, is respected dropped in distance while Yeah Baby Yeah just needs to be ridden a bit more prominently to have a chance. Pattie is conceding fitness to all four rivals, but any market support for Mick Channon's Sixties Icon filly shouldn't be ignored.
  1. Make Music
  2. Soul Silver
  3. Star Quality
