Looked to offer something to work on making his debut here over C&D last time out off a 1lb higher mark behind some in form types with all three that finished in front him running well again. Should be up the pace here and back in a visor should make a bold bid.

Has a good record around here although he can be slow away on occasions but he looked on the way back last time over C&D in a race run to suit. Has slipped below his last winning mark and would have a chance if he could follow that run up.

Fared much better on this surface on her second attempt on it winning in cosy fashion over 5f and providing today's rider with his first ever winner. That was a fairly weak affair though and she faces some hard-knocking handicappers here back up to 6f.

Ran an eye-catching race last time out when looking to have little chance turning for home but finished to good effect to snatch third although the strong pace would have had something to do with that. Interesting if he can back that up but that's not guaranteed.

Has some useful form to his name but isn't without his quirks although he did show how well he acts here with a win over this distance in October off a 6lb lower mark. Struggled off this mark last time when running no sort of race over the same trip; chance if in better form.

A regular at this track over sprints trips he's 2/14 over C&D although his last win came over 5f when he took advantage of a plummeting mark. Not in anything like the same form over the 5f last time in a better race than this and never won to write off around here.

Has run a couple creditable races on the Fibresand and looks to act well on it and certainly ran into an improver over C&D last time who has won again since. Will need to find a little more here to get involved but the handicapper has certainly given him a chance.

An overall record of 0/9 on Fibresand and one of 3246 over this trip here suggests that he's not at his best on this surface and other AW surfaces suit far better. Even off this lowly mark others make more appeal.

Forecasts

Viva Verglas (4/1), Angel Palanas (9/2), Tagur (5/1), Clergyman (5/1), Tasaaboq (13/2), Hisar (7/1), Know The Truth (8/1), Kaaber (10/1), Coiste Bodhar (12/1)

Verdict

Several of these can be given a chance in a race that isn’t easy to work out but if TAGUR repeats his 4th over C&D last time out in a race that looks quite a strong one for the grade he may well be able to get off the mark on the Fibresand. Kaaber would have a chance on his best form but he can be rather inconsistent and Clergyman who has run well twice here and should strip fitter this time is seen as the main danger. Viva Verglas looks to be working his way back to form and must be respected here given his previous form over C&D with Angel Palanas needing another strong gallop to make him of interest. Know The Truth will find this tougher than last time out moving back into handicaps but you do know she acts on the surface.
